Peter Schlosser graduated from Penn State in 1989 and began
his career in furniture as repair manager for Boyles Furniture
in North Carolina in 1993. In 1999
he opened Highland Repair and Refinishing, a
full-service furniture repair shop in Hickory, NC
which continues today. Charged with returning damaged furniture
worth many thousands of dollars back to first—or better—quality
helped refine his skills and learn dozens of techniques. This
experience helps him teach technicians that seemingly complex
problems, like crushed corners, can be easily repaired.
Peter's operational experience helps identify the source of
common furniture damages, stemming the flow of goods to the
shop rather than augmenting an existing operation. He has
two beautiful children, Alex and Amelia, and lives in Morganton,
NC.
